The aim of my work is to intensify the internal and essential characteristics of materials rather
than external beauty of objects. I’ve intended to make a simple and primitive shape using natural
and vintage texture, without decoration. Through this process, the image like still life evokes
unexpected comfort and warmth.
 
삶에 있어서 가벼운 것과 무거운 것, 사소한 것과 가치 있는 것이 서로 어우러져 흘러가듯,
나의 장신구 작업은 어느 한쪽으로 치우치지 않는 균형(balance)을 만들어간다.
자연스러우며 단순하고 원시적인 형태의 작은 조각들은 저울의 양팔에 올려놓아 균형을 맞추듯이
배열하고 조합한다. 추상적인 형태의 조각들은 때때로 자연물을 연상하기도 한다.
이러한 작업을 통해 예기치 않은 편안함과 따스함을 불러일으키며, 정물화 같은 이미지를
보여 주기도 한다.
